We are now offering eye care and hearing tests to residents, without them having to leave home. Specsavers Maidenhead/Windsor are visiting Harwood House once a month to see any residents who are due a check. As well as getting advice about their vision and hearing, residents can also choose glasses from the comfort of their room.
We had a beautiful day for our summer party on the 8th August. Families and friends joined us in the garden for delicious food, cooling drinks and a wonderful performance from The Maideleles.

Our community café is now OPEN and you’re welcome to come along! As well as great company and a beautiful view from our ground floor lounge (or the garden if it’s a nice day!) there’ll be information and support from Age UK Maidenhead and Windsor and Radfield Home Care.
Our café is held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10.30am – 12.30pm. It’s FREE and there’s no need to book.
After a lifetime of travel, it’s the garden here at Harwood House that’s the inspiration for resident Mike’s latest works of poetry.
The former British Airways manager has already had one anthology published. His story recently made the news – very fitting for a writer!
